Miss Lizzy Bennet Bear Series

Led by Miss Lizzy Bennet Bear, Lizzy and her crew start their journey on their Good Night Parade.  It is a great bedtime story parade with new friends, music, and fun.  As the rest of the world drifted off into a wonderful dreamstate, the crew found themselves in a parade that moved through the night.. After miles and miles of moving through the land they come upon two portals that lead to far off and interesting places.  

Their journey transforms from a local parade into a multiverse adventure involving portals to different places and times. From a Marshmallow Portal, a sugary, chocolate-dripping archway leading to a delectable Marshmallow Land to a Starship Portal, a humming metallic gateway revealing a starship atop a mountain under alien stars, this crew of sophisticated and fun loving animals acts as eternal travelers, slipping through these gateways to bridge cozy bedtime wonders with high-stakes science fiction, traveling to new places while the world sleeps.

The heartbeat of these adventures lies in the eccentric leaders who guide these stories and eventually lead the charge into the various portal worlds. Miss Lizzy Bennet Bear is the sophisticated and warm-hearted guide of the entire series.  She is the one who “plans out the night” and ensures that every child feels “tucked in real tight” before the adventure begins. Rose Ronita is a leader of grace and unexpected precision. Despite being a large purple rhinoceros, she moves with a light touch, sporting white sneakers and horn-rimmed glasses. Quality Caddy Clara is the leader of the “skeptics.” While she may seem grumpy, Clara serves a vital role. She represents the “grumpiness” children often feel when they are tired.

Jay is the embodiment of joy and movement. Wearing a stylish tie and leather high-tops, Jay is the primary scout for the portals. Because of his height and his “high-top” energy, he can see miles away. Cockadoodle Davy is a loud, proud, boisterous spirit of this group and he provides the “chaos” necessary for creativity. Davy is the one who usually accidentally discovers the portals by wandering off the main path. His bravery is unmatched. Miss Mabel represents the quiet strength and restfulness of the journey. Mabel is the anchor of the crew and is the one who provides the gentle nudge needed to choose a path. She brings her tiny red chair into every world.

Jeyne Drumdogel is the rhythm of the series. She is the most disciplined of the crew.  Jeyne will challenge anyone and usually comes out on top.  She is always willing to be a friend and is always very helpful. Flabborgastic Pablo is the rockstar of the portal. He brings an electric energy to the party. Pablo is the character who bridges the gap between a “bedtime story” and a “cool adventure.” Sir Henry is the knight-protector and a guardian of the portals. He understands the “puzzle” of the dream better than anyone. He ensures that no matter which portal the crew chooses, they remain a family.

The Series Vision
Each story will conclude with the crew arriving at the “Portal Junction.” The readers will see the characters standing before different doorways, mirroring the choices children make in their own imaginations. One book might follow Davy as gets lost in the sticky sweetness of Marshmallow Land, while the next might follow Miss Lizzy and Rose Ronita as they board a spaceship at the peak of a mountain.

These stories aren’t  just about falling asleep; they are about the incredible places you go once you get there. Through these portals, the parade becomes a vehicle for endless discovery, proving that as long as you are “tucked in real tight,” the entire universe—from sugary lands to the farthest stars—is just a dream away.
